There has been many stressful times and the pressure of money is probably the hardest element. Second to that is balancing uni work, with a job and a social life. It is much more difficult than I thought it would be but i know that I’m still learning
Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
Very good
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
Very very good. My course especially the tutors are always around in the office if we need help or anything else.
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
I don’t really know about it at all, especially now I don’t live in halls. However I don’t make a conscious effort to follow the SU
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
Yes it’s in central London so it’s close to everything. There are
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Not that great - UAL doesn’t feel like a typical uni the SU isn’t great. However i think this would be different if it were a campus uni
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
Can be disorganised at times or seem a bit irrelevant (e.g we don’t work on our actual deadlines in class - often our lecture is focused on something else so seems like a waste of time)
Need more help on design skills as we aren’t all graphic designers
How many contact hours per week do you have?
1
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
My course is very encouraging in gaining experience/ putting together portfolios/ preparing us for industry.
