Best - the training I’m getting, how much I’m improving and growing as a performer, the opportunities I’m given as well as a lot of contact hours therefore feels more worth the money compared to other more academic courses Worst - the lack of singing lessons compared to the musical theatre students, the cliquey-ness within the socialising culture of uni and how isolating it can be

Exactly what I said in my previous answer.

Liked how close it was to the GSA building. Hated how isolating it was. Made me feel so lonely as I didn’t really make friends with anyone in my halls, and there was only 5 people in my flat so if I didn’t get along with them I didn’t have anyone else to choose from to hang out with. Also extremely unhygienic in the kitchen due to dirty flat mates.

The communication in summer/ after accepting a course offer and before joining was really bad and I wasn’t sure what was going on until very close to moving in day. I would have liked to move in earlier than the weekend before my classes started but you all have to move in on that weekend. The actual welcome week was great with loads of activities and a very warm and introduction to the school. The campus is beautiful and very well designed with green spaces and a lake to wind down and relax between classes. There is everything you need on campus including a GP, gigantic library, laundry services and coop as well as a 25 minute walk into the town centre or buses through campus to town. There’s a lot of well-being services and tonnes of initiatives for student welfare and support, so we’re really supported and looked after. The quality of classes and staff/ teachers is excellent and there are a lot of accommodation options for different prices.

There’s no clear signs up for when people need to start being quiet at night, unfortunately I’m next to a kitchen so even a few months in there’s shouting and screaming and parties all night that comes straight through my window even when it’s closed. Fine with some earplugs but I need good quality sleep for my intense & physical course!
