While portsmouth is a lovely place, the university buildings are located in the most brutalist and utilitarian areas. the few trees there are don't do much for just how bleak certain areas are. The other areas such as the student union and library are perfectly fine and fit their purpose perfectly well, but don't go above and beyond in any manor.

8 hours a week is less that I'd expected, but the time in class is spent well. The possibility to use my third year as a sandwich year is a great option, but the fact that it's only a nice option is good for providing flexibility.

You have no idea what you're going to get here until you're here. You may have a room that looks out over the park, or the courtyard which gets no sunlight, or the club where you'll hear constant noise. The floor space also varies quite a bit between flats. There is regular maintenance which seems to do nothing but interrupt wifi. If you get a good flat then you'll probably like it here thanks to how close it is to university buildings, but otherwise you might find yourself disappointed.

The university claims to support students with different learning needs and people with health care issues but in reality they don't, I have repeatedly ask for the support I need and told that they can't accommodate that ,it's exhausting.the course itself is just a waste of money and time,I spend hours wasted being talked at and a software session that's short and useless and they try and cram so much you have to do in a short time,I have no good quality work to show for my portfolio as the brief are so basic and boring as well as requiring barley and actually graphics it more like taking English with the amount of writing I have to do, waste of money and time

Tutor is pointless only get in touch with her twice a week at a stretch and just useless with any actual help,my lecturer reads of a 2 year old slides and spends the time taking amongst themselves with barley and useful learning time .

Uni does nothing to make sure that students aren't used by these companies to make money by them having no choice to live in disgusting rooms where we are scammed out of money because we have no choice, I have dealt with sliverfish,mould ,not working appliances, no hot water, unable to use washing machines, people entering my room with no notice and unannounced and being ignored.yet the uni think it isn't there place to deal with this
