The facilities and overall focus towards industry work and knowledge really couldn't have much improvement, there's also a clear focus towards the student support and mental health which I find really reassuring. The fact there's no campus is really my only downside, definitely takes a bit of the "student" feel out of it but the fact the buildings are right near the sea more than make up for it, I'm also fortunate enough to live within comfortable walking distance from most of the buildings so it's not strenuous to commute or anything like that. From the lecturers to the courses I have few complaints so far and I'm excited to continue my studies in the coming years!

With BIMM I really enjoy how interactive lectures are, there is a large focus on collaboration and general conversation-styled lessons which really helps me to retain all the information especially as I struggle in regular lecture environments due to my overactive brain. There's plenty of contact time with lecturers, they're always happy to take questions either in class or via email - the tutorial system is a huge help too for if any in person time is needed for any reason from working on projects to going over things from classes or even just discussing something. Course hours are definitely less than I had envisioned prior to enrolling but the amount of time is still plenty for what the courses offer and I haven't been left wanting more or anything along those lines.

Brighton is a wonderful place to live, the night life is absolutely crazy there's always something to do or people to meet. The seaside location is also a massive positive it's so lovely to walk along the seafront and in the evening time there's so much to look at and do it's a great people watching spot. Whilst pricing is kind of expensive for things relating to housing, you can get by pretty well for food or nights out if you budget well. It's great to have uni here, there is such a lively crowd of young people out and it really feels like there's somewhere for anyone to fit in, it's also just a super accepting and diverse place it's really cool to see! Definitely gets cold in the winter especially with that sea breeze but I've been having an amazing time here thus far.

Overall, BIMM Birmingham is a great uni to study at. The best way to describe it is that it is full of real people. The lecturers are friendly and are willing to help no matter the problem. You will feel like everyone is your family. Its a 5 minute walk from the Bull Ring which is great when you have time to spare between classes. Rather than a huge scale university, BIMM is cozy and homely, which takes away from that initial fear during your first few weeks. Tutorials are available if you need some one to one time to cover a specific topic and you will also have a personal tutor for all of your questions. I would have liked to have seen a cafeteria for students within the grounds, but there are vending machines dotted around for when you get peckish or thirsty. I would have also have liked there to be a university parking area for those that commute - like myself - but due to the small size of the uni there wouldn't be room. If you are driving then I recommend Green Parking LTD, which is not too far around the corner and not too expensive.

I do three days a well in class. On a Monday I do 12.15 until 5.30 which is a good day as a student. I then do 1 until 3.30 on a Tuesday and 3 until 5.30 on a Friday. These lessons seem slightly more annoying because I spend the same amount of time in lesson as I do commuting. However, I understand that this works around all of the other people in that class also, so can't be helped. I think the hours balance we'll between studying and work. In terms of facilities, I would have liked to have access to logic when I am not in class. For example, it would be nice to have logic on the community computers in the uni, so that I could work on my assignments. Some of my assignments have to be done on logic, which means I am interrupting other classes to work on them.
