Bimm is a great place to study if you’re interested in music and want to pursue a career within the music industry. Bimm is great at giving help in that department, they help with networking, advice, improvement etc. I study songwriting and I love it, but I would love to add more lyrical classes. Right now I only have one, and that’s an option module, which I find disappointing considering I’m doing “songwriting”. I feel the course is more focused on the production side of it rather than the lyrical side. I, and many others find this disappointing since we would love to actually improve our lyrics, since that’s one of the many reasons why we chose Bimm and the songwriting course.

I think the teachers at bimm are great teachers, they also work in the industry so they know exactly what and how to get there. The only complaint I have is that the teachers aren’t always teachers. What I mean by this is that they aren’t good at teaching. They have knowledge but they aren’t good at explaining it. They are first and foremost singers, songwriters, producers etc. This does not apply to every teachers of course, but some. But I would say that most importantly, they all are great at giving advice and feedback, which again is important to be a better musician.

The location is great because it’s easy to get too and it’s close to a lot of other places. The only thing is that it’s expensive to live there, so many students live further away from the university.
