The location of the Uni is excellent, the availability of accommodation makes me worry less about whether or not I can find an affordable flat for this year and the next, the student Union building has lots of amenities, it's easy to contact your student representatives to give feedback for classes and Primo Ex Libris will sometimes have digitized copies of some of my required reading, saving me money. The 24 hours opening time of Sir Duncan Rice during exam season is also helpful.

The lectures are sometimes on vaguely related to the relevant topics and reading, which is fine if you are already familiar with the subject but rather devastating for those unaware.

I recieved an offer of free accommodation based on my postcode which made Aberdeen very appealing. However, there were people as equally poor as my family who did not receive this offer. The wifi was exemplary, with a separate connection for games consoles. There is normally staff patrolling every night, but I deducted a star from saftey as someone did get stabbed in November 2021.
