The general facilities are great, but there should be arrangements in place to ensure that students have access to cheap food at lunchtime/ break times

The tutors are experts in their field

My experience of Uni halls was awful. The staff are so unhelpful and i had security issues all throughout my time there

The best parts of my university experience are often those where I've been given the opportunity to explore new things that often wouldn't have been possible on my own; connecting with businesses and institutions in the industry, methods to challenge and refine my skills, and the chance to discuss and learn from multiple figures who are making waves in the field who I look up to greatly. Everyone is so genuinely excited to be here, and uplifts each other as we develop as students and find our own pathways through the course. Changes that would impact my university experience for the better often include those where students are given the opportunity to mix with each other from beyond their course or department. Whilst there is an active student union with a wide variety of societies, BCU's satellite campuses can feel a little disconnected from the main university. This did mean that I ended up forming stronger bonds with my coursemates, and students in the same department though, which has helped a lot in other ways.

My course has small numbers of students per class, and a large amount of contact time which gradually eases off as students progress. I have found this incredibly helpful in adjusting from a secondary school mindset to that of a university student, first becoming comfortable with the new environment, and then being allowed to explore more independently once I was ready, prepared and excited for it. Any questions I have about my course are easily able to be answered in person, or through multiple avenues of contact staff members have available to students for them to be able to reach them, often to very prompt response. The only downside to the course, from the perspective of a typical university student, is that the heavy amount of workshop hours encouraged to navigate the course content can feel slightly overwhelming at first, and don't leave much free time for working or socialising as much as some other courses would. You are essentially working the same hours as you might with a full time job some weeks - however this in itself can be helpful for preparing you for post-graduation life, so it's not overly terrible
