My life in Portsmouth has been a mix of incredible experiences and a few challenges. Living by the coast has been one of the highlights, offering a refreshing escape and a great social atmosphere. The university’s compact and accessible campus makes everything feel close-knit, and the modern facilities, from the library to sports centres, have really enhanced my experience. The lecturers and staff have been supportive, making academic life smoother. However, there have been a few downsides, like the Students’ Union not feeling as active as it could be, the cost of accommodation being quite high, and the occasional Wi-Fi issues, which can be frustrating. Despite these challenges, my time in Portsmouth has been largely positive, and it’s a place that has offered me both academic and personal growth.

The lecturers are knowledgeable and supportive, always willing to help when needed, and the access to modern facilities and resources has been invaluable for my studies. I’ve also appreciated the opportunities for practical learning, which have helped bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. However, there have been some downsides, such as occasional inconsistencies in communication regarding deadlines and assessments, which can be frustrating. Some modules feel more engaging than others, and at times, workload management can be overwhelming. Despite these challenges, my course has been a positive and enriching experience, equipping me with valuable skills for the future.

The facilities are generally well-maintained, and having on-site security adds an extra level of reassurance. However, there are some downsides, such as the cost, which can feel quite high compared to private rentals, and occasional maintenance issues that take time to be resolved. Noise can also be a problem at times, especially on weekends, but overall, living in halls has been a great way to settle into university life. Crown Place has been a modern and comfortable place to live, with its sleek design and great facilities being some of its biggest advantages. The en-suite rooms, spacious study areas, and on-site amenities like the gym and communal spaces make it feel like a premium student accommodation. The central location is another major plus, with easy access to both the university and the city’s social scene. However, the high rent is definitely a drawback, and the atmosphere can sometimes feel more like a hotel than a student community, making it a bit harder to meet people compared to traditional halls. Additionally, while the building is generally well-maintained, occasional issues like slow maintenance responses can be frustrating. Despite these minor downsides, Crown Place has been a great choice for comfort and convenience during my time in Portsmouth.
