I love that it's a campus uni - sometimes I forget that I live in a city because it's so quiet living in student accommodation, I love being away from the hustle and bustle because I find campus to be a really peaceful and safe space. The canal is an especially great feature. Sometimes it can be a little too quiet - as a first year, there is not a lot happening on campus and fun nights usually require going off campus. I have met so many people at this school that are really kind, cool, and come from all over the world which is really cool. I also love my course, Liberal Arts. However, especially for my course, the department is pretty underfunded, and the timetables are ALWAYS messed up. I personally love this school and think the opportunities are endless when you live in London.

I love the course content and being able to study several subjects from literature, history, film, drama, languages, and philosophy. The breadth is exactly what I wanted from an education, and all of the classes are super interesting. The lecturers are so passionate, engaging, and make the content digestible whilst still focusing on critical thinking. Liberal Arts is a new course so their are some aspects of the course that are still being ironed out - because it dips into many disciplines, the scheduling for our courses can be very challenging because of all of the overlap which can be frustrating. The head of our course is a real advocate for us, however. I sometimes wish we got more face-time with our seminars because we begin really interesting discussions that tend to get cut off after an hour. I find the readings really interesting and challenging, yet manageable. I'm only in my first year, but I've really enjoyed this course.

I have my own room and bathroom which I love. There are 6 of us that share a kitchen, but it gets cleaned weekly, and they take the trash every few days so it never feels gross. Some aspects of the halls are pretty run down - my closet door and my cupboard door fell of their hinges and had to be replaced, but they fixed it within a few days and I didn't really mind. I feel like the halls are really safe and have everything you need. The walls are really thin. Maintenance is always around fixing random things, and I'm like, respectfully, why are you here all the time. But all in all, no issues and have had a great experience living in halls.
