I am very glad to be a UoA student! I often compare the services and the 'perks' I have access to and that my friends in other countries in Europe would never expect to receive from their university. It makes me feel priviledged. I have had a lecturer since year 2 who only spends their lessons talking, instead of giving us the chance to work and learn on the topic. Fortunately I do a lot of individual study and I am satisfied with my grade of knowledge, but no student deserves a a lecturer who is not able to do their job properly. My partner, who is also a student at UoA, but in a different school, has the same struggles. I also believe that the student rep training and support could have a boost. I am excited to see what's happening this year.

Aberdeen has a fantastic campus, low living costs, good student community, good range of societies and events. The Union is not always helpful when dealing with societies, event organisation and room bookings and I feel more could be done to help you get to know people on your courses.

Would like more smaller classes in economics, French oral classes vary a lot depending on the lectrice and this year it hasn't been well managed. French options are heavily focused on literature which is not my interest Overall I enjoy my course, a variety of teaching styles, interesting options.

Hillhead is a fantastic facility, really good communal space where you can eat, play badminton and table tennis, free gym membership, communal kitchen, regular events. Would prefer location closer to town centre but it's only 10 minutes from campus so not bad.
