The filmmaking course here could not be better, I have loved almost every lecture I have had and coming from a background where I had a lot of previous knowledge in filmmaking, I still feel as though I have learnt a lot. Although there is not much I would change about the course, there are some aspects that I would improve such as the student support, as someone with additional needs I feel as though it is quite difficult to get support from the team as it is necessary to book a tutorial for weeks in the future, whereas a same day or next day one would suit me better. There is also a lack of societies which makes it hard to engage with others outside of your classes. However, the quality of teaching is great, and I would reccomend the uni to anyone looking to study film in the future.

The hours of the course allow you to work outside of your class time, for example I am in uni for 2 full days a week, allowing me to do coursework and part-time work around it. The course is very practical and gives you hands on experience with the kit, which is a huge part of gearing up for industry work. The contact with lecturers is great, and the classes are small so they really get to know you as people.

the best things about studying with BIMM is the skills that you learn being able to have a hands on approach to all work practicing in a practical work environment. Also, the people that you meet being able to connect and work as a team to create something that you are proud of.

Being taught hands on having all lessons with the lectures being able to have help wherever needed and the ability to have extra external use.
