Good sporting Uni/College campus. With plenty of opportunities as a college undergrad to partake in university activities. However building in the college is outdated, thankfully a new building should be in place by September 2025

TLDR: Pros... + Small lecture sizes = Easier and much more personal learning experience. + Dedicated HE services on the college campus (soon to be dedicated building). + Access to Loughborough student union and Loughborough sport. + Passionate and highly educated lecturers. + Potential for connections to big engineering companies in the UK. + Amazing 'Young enterprise' program during 2nd year. Cons... - Some lecturers are very smart people = They tend to not teach as well. - New course = New management and 'less than adequate' planning. - Based upon the college whilst still paying full tuition. - Low grade barrier for entry (nightmare for team assignments). - Strict attendance and college level attitude (Some college staff think of you as a teenager, not an adult) Long Review: I would say that since this is a relatively new course, it seems like management has not quite found there footing yet. Sometimes promises are made that go fruitless or student time is wasted because of poor planning. One time i remember commuting to a class that ended up being cancelled because the lecturer was in a meeting. However i do understand that it is a new course and the content is very engaging. They have an amazing mathematics lecturer who is very passionate (Rare these days), and some lectures end up having less than 6 people in a class, which means you can genuinely grasp all subjects. What i would say for anyone in the management team who might read this is to schedule meetings outside of class times or give ample notice beforehand so that students do not end up wasting time and money in order to arrive to a class without a lecturer. I also believe that because this course is funded by the college (accredited by the Uni), that the staff dedicated to teaching the course end up having to play by the colleges rules, meaning tighter deadlines and stricter attendance. Overall a solid course for people passionate for sustainable engineering, If you treat your lecturers well you will be treated well (A select few of us have had our dissertations sponsored from top employers).
