My favourite thing about ictheatre id how close all students are; we are a very close-knit community and are given the opportunity to support other group’s performances and projects throughout the academic year. I love that groups and time tables change twice a semester which makes things more interesting and also allows us to get familiar with other students and trying different lessons every day such as screen acting and commercial dance. The work is very full on which can be quite tiring as the contact hours are so high, but uts nothibg that isnt preparing us for the industry.

For more academic aspects of the work we complete 3.5 hours a week discussing the content of our protfoliols which helps to break down the work especially when there isnt much time outside of uni with such high contacts hours. Small changes such as desks and chairs would be a lot more engaging especially as these sessions involve so much note-taking.

Its right in the centre of manchester which makes it very easy to access the uni with lots of transport. There’s quite a lot of noice pollution with it being right in the centre. This is maining on weekends where there’s lots of loud vehicles and students making noise at night.

The best thing about Performers College Birmingham (BIMM University) is the family feel, I can whole heartedly say that I truly believe every single member of staff and student there has my best interest in mind and truly wants me to succeed! The Principal Adam Davenport is so funny likeable and mental health forward, and the students services team are always there to help! The events team create such good atmospheres over the holidays and put on such good events and made the most amazing freshers timetable for all the students to enjoy! Honestly I have 0 regrets choosing to study here and I regularly volunteer to come in on the weekends because I enjoy being at this school so much.

You can truly tell that every single teachers is so deeply passionate about their subject and has such a deep knowledge and understanding of every single detail they’re teaching us! We have such phenomenal studio spaces with the College Management team and estates team currently showing such a desire for growth with constant discussion about more studios and college extension. We cover such a range of dance and Musical Theatre styles with the entire teaching team being excited to delve deeper into each style, it truly is a such a supportive environment

The thing I like the most about my Halls are things like my flatmates, my actual flat itself, the location and the Staff! The only thing I would say could be improved is the safety of the other halls of residence in the area, as often incidents from other halls spill over onto our front doorstep
