I study in the IQ building and I think the campus is in an excellent location as you're only a short walk from the city centre, but not caught up in the rush of traffic or parking issues. There are a number of supermarkets a short distance away. I cannot comment on the nightlife as I am a part time student who doesn't stay within Swansea. The campus feels fine, nothing too inspiring or lavish. It can be quite a maze and you need a few weeks to fully find your feet. I can't speak highly enough of the student support team, from the ALO'S to mentors, 1-2-1 support skills, Disability support and the actual lecturers themselves. The Student Union were present at the Induction and they have a small, unmanned table on the ground floor of the IQ building but beyond that they haven't been too visible, although this may be to me only attending campus one day a week. Overall, I'd recommend this university to any student, especially those who may require extra support on the academic side of university life

The lecturers' do a good job of teaching you what you need to know for the assessments. however a lot of the content feels extra or unnecessary. At times it can feel a bit "death by PowerPoint" too. The lectures' themselves are all wonderful people who seem to car about any queries or issues you may have. There is always a 10 minute period at the end / in between lectures where you can approach them for help, although they are all approachable through Teams outside of teaching hours.

The tutors are great. Stunning location also.

Hours are quite long. 8-6 should be reduced to 4pm finish.
