Good university in a good location, easy to get to Central London and all the excitement there! Student Union has lots going on. My course is good and the lecturers are interesting people with useful first hand experience in the industry.

It's in a very nice location, though if you don't live on campus it's quite a hassle to reach it. The facilities are very modern and well kept, and the entire campus is a joy to explore. However, I have felt that the higher levels of the university staff (not the lecturers, who are lovely) don't communicate effectively with the rest of the university. There have been a few examples of this, such as sudden budget cuts or, most distressingly, when a whole accommodation block was shut down. However, it's still a great place to study, with a huge variety of courses, people and experiences. I definitely recommend visiting the uni and appreciating the locale. With the amount of options available, Roehampton Uni covers most kinds of education you could be interested in. Also, if you can, try and get accommodation at Elm Shaw house. The cheapest option (Bede) is awful, if you can afford better go for it.

The class is mostly taught in person, with occasional online classes in exceptional circumstances. The course itself is very interesting, with a lot of variety. I joined the uni as this course was created, and at that time there were some issues. Primarily, the modules felt very disconnected from one-another, and it wasn't clear what we were working towards over all. However, with feedback from our class, I believe this issue has been worked on. Media and Communications has many different modules that cover a large variety of topics, from animation to data analysis to PR to storytelling (storytelling being some of the best parts of the module, in my opinion). The common thread that connects all these topics is learning of the many ways you, governments and businesses use and interact with the online world. It's an extremely useful course, and opens so many doors for you.

Previously, I lived in Lee House. Then it was discovered that the cladding was extremely poor quality and the entire building was unfit for living. We were given a few days to pack up and move to our new accommodation, which was much worse. Rooms in this accomodation are small, and if you live on the ground floor expect people to stare in at you/knock on your window and ask you to let them in (which, in fact, happened to one of my flatmates). Despite how it may sound, I don't think they're awful rooms. It's cramped, but there is an ensuite toilet and shower, and the beds are comfy enough. There's just enough storage space, and the walls are sound insulated. Also, good heating, and a spacious kitchen (though there isn't a good dining table). I recommend this accommodation if you need it or don't plan on spending much time in it. I was here during the Covid lockdowns, which definitely affects my opinion of the place, but you could definitely do worse (please do not go to Bede House unless you must).
