The library is a great space with lots of online resources and printers. The laundrettes are mostly efficient and clean but are out of order sometimes but that is somewhat expected with the large amount of use. I heard that last year the student bar wates house used to be open on weekends. It’s a shame that it isn’t anymore because as a student that has a timetable full into the evening during the week it would be nice to have the option to do something on campus on the weekend. Campus feels like a ghost town on the weekend. I think the campus is lovely and I enjoy walking around here with the views from the hills and the greenery.

The tutors always take time to help us understand the work and will always offer a different perspective or explanation to try make the work accessible. We are so busy in the week and feel like the amount of contact time is getting us the most out of our time here. The surreylearn platform whilst initially takes time to figure out how to navigate is a great resource to keep track of our work week by week and the tutors use this well to keep us informed.

I like being close to town and the train station. For my course I am relatively far from my building (GSA) compared to other stag hill accommodation but I don’t mind because I enjoy the walk in. Maintenance and housekeeping is usually good but I put in a request to clean the mould in my shower and they logged this task as complete when actually nothing has been done to fix this. It a that has been an issue in my shower since September that I tried to clean myself but it needs a professional job. I am waiting to see if that will change this week. However in September I had a positive experience where I called for the radiator to be fixed as the temperature adjustment knob was broken off when I got here and it was resolved quickly. There were a few unseemly stains in my carpet when I arrived but I just cover it with a rug.

The facilities are great but the student accommodation is quite bad.

The location is awful and the walk home is dark and scary and there’s no direct bus route.
