If it wasn’t for Covid, I know this year would have been amazing because the teachers have so much faith in us. Just wish we had more time with them. They have worked extremely hard but because this is a performance course, it’s hard to continue learning with social distancing, and zoom classes. Sometimes I feel like I’m on summer holiday because we’ve not been contacted and we have nothing to do. A lack of communication can sometimes be an issue.

As a drama school, you’d want to be separate from the college next door but we don’t have a separate canteen and the college students can be rude.

The teachers are amazing when it comes to if you are struggling however its been so hard to get help from others. My mental health got worse very quickly due to deadlines and I had no idea where to get help from.

Teaching hours have gone down dramatically to the point where we’re lucky to see the teachers twice a week. They are extremely understanding of the situation and with some Covid outbreaks, there is nothing more they can do. It is hard to be expected to do the same amount of work as previous years despite less contact time.

They are very helpful and check out any agents who contact us and tell us straight whether they will be good for us.

What I have learnt so far is invaluable to my training as an actor and I am excited for what the future has to come. The Arden matches up to any other drama school when it comes to the core training provided.

The Ardens facilities are fantastic, the studios are beautiful. However, the canteen is shared with the college students which isnt ideal.

Academically, tutors are great with feedback and supporting you and many are easily reached by email or a quick natter outside. In terms of counselling etc, staff will listen but there is very much a 'handle it yourself' mantra. Counselling and further support is available, but should be better advertised/offered.

I like most how hands on and practical all the lessons are, however communication between staff could be improved to ensure we arent taught the same things repeatedly
