Herts is well placed for film as well as its just a day trip from london and in the same county as majority of the UK's production studios. The teachers here are all well educated and from industry. They make opportunities common as you regularly recive emails about new filming projects. The University also has a program called Herts Propeller Music, which is a colab between the music and film students to create live, professional music videos for real artists. Propeller gets you to learn new equipment years in advance to some fellow students if you start in year 1. The university also provides housing for all year degrees and responds regularly to any issues in flats. The flats have everything a home would need and are easy to make a home in. There are also many societies, such as Drama Society, Musical Theatre Society, Film and Television Society, and Scriptwriting Society that are well placed for developing skills outside of class while also having a social group that supports and accepts you. In terms of things to improve, the University constantly asks for feedback which occasionally gets fixed. The students union can be known to put on great events, but they also struggle to assist societies in their events or daily meetings which have to be cleared with them first. The University also has on campus clubs, such as Seventy7, the Loft, and to be soon reopened the Elehouse bar. These can be great nights out, but caution is needed if you are a woman. There have been many events of harassment, including spiking, which the event security doesnt seem to care much about. Though many students prefer the Hatfield Tap which is a bar a short walk from College Lane which tends to be much safer and holds karaoke nights on Tuesdays. Overall the University of Hertfordshire is a perfect place to study film and provides many resources. The social life and people is a good ballence for anyone and the staff on campus are all very kind and welcoming. I am an international student on distance mode, therefore I do not get the opportunity to use the physical infrastructures of the university. This is the reason why I could not rate higher for some areas. However, although online, I am well supported by the virtual learning platform and my research supervisors.

i have come back into education after 2 years and the college has supported me through my foundation degree. it has given me that confidence and being able to believe in myself and do the best of my ability.

I have no bad things to say about university they have been amazing. I know that sounds unrealistic but honestly the university has been amazing to me from the kitchen staff the receptionists and the teachers also my peers. I am enjoying my time here. They are making my learning experience amazing. My lecturers have offered and are helping me achieve my academic goals. The library has a wide range of books and the staff are friendly and very welcoming if a book is not available they will find it for you. The university has given a drive I haven’t had in a long time that I can complete the degree to the best of my abilities and also continue to pursue my goals within my own life. I now feel inspired to pursue a career in teaching something I have never considered before I am loving my experience so far and would recommend anyone to give it a go

Good university course with excellent tutors and modules. Most tutors are patient and answer any questions you may have, involving the course. Student feedback is vital and personal tutor sessions and surveys are often held to ensure every student's satisfaction with the course. More trips could definitely be offered as a way to encourage everyone to bond and to help boost motivation however, as there is a lot more offered to the lower level students and students on other courses. The foundation degree for media is definitely worth your tuition money however, as while the work is quite challenging and there's a lot to be completed, a range of things are taught and the tutors cover a lot of different pathways there are in the media industry.

I think Buckinghamshire university is perfect for international students. This university offers so many facilities and student union support is great. The best part is teachers and lecturers are very nice and considerate. They keep me motivated and encouraged while doing the assignments and through every classes. So far I've had a great experience and always happy at uni. One thing I got little pressure is about the fee as I'm facing financial problems.
