Community Nursing foundation degrees

The University of Hertfordshire has great facilities, but there are quite a few unnecessary procedures that could be streamlined, such as booking appointments for even the smallest matters. My experience so far has been disappointing from an academic perspective. I was expecting better quality education, but instead, most of the lectures consist of simply reading from PowerPoint slides, and the practical sessions have been far from engaging. While I understand that self-study is important, not all students, especially international ones like myself, have prior industrial experience or expertise. It's crucial that the university recognizes this and provides clearer, more detailed information about the curriculum, how exams work, and what is expected in terms of assessments. Relying solely on self-study and putting too much responsibility on the students isn’t fair, especially when we're paying for a quality education.

Since i am studying in the university of suffolk i experienced the most peaceful environment..very friendly teachers nd very supportive student help center.waterfront building with the beautiful view is the best place to relax..ipswich is a small town but it is very calm nd peaceful.Strong teaching and student satisfaction scores nationally.Personal, supportive academic environment. Career support and employability focus. And till now i have not faced any bad experience.so there is nothing to share. And if i talk about what makes it best place to study is its high teaching quality & student satisfaction, personalised and supportive learning environment,career focused and practical course. And where it could be improved More structured contact time, improve their helpline customer service team

The best aspects are the student union and the facilities available. I think it could be improved if we had more books generally available at the library without requiring click and collect, since right now the library feels like a study space but not a real library.

It's great because you do everything when you have time. The coarse tells you how much time you will need and you fit it in around your circumstances. The OU library is available 24 hours a day so always someone to help no matter what the time. The forums always have someone up late or really early! The tutors provide excellent feedback and are quick to respond

I started the BA Photography course in 2018 and finished in 2022. I found the modules interesting, and we had a good mix of arts and more commercially orientated guest speakers. The tutors were incredibly helpful and supportive and did their best to provide engaging sessions despite the disruption of covid19 during my studies there. Resources are good with plenty of studio space, a big Mac-based editing room, and a massive dark room (B@W plus colour possible). Technical support is excellent too. Certainly worth considering for an undergraduate-level photography degree.

I really wanted to study Health and Social Care further to enable me to have in depth knowledge and be prepared to potentially study a nursing degree. One major problem I was facing was not wanting to leave home just yet UCNL providing me that very option. The staff within Uni are supportive and friendly and accommodating. They always try and push you to reach your full potential.
