Good facilities and academic support, great teaching by staff. However better car parking could be revised and more student activities

Great lecturers, however are currently facing staffing issues so staff is lacking on some units and phd students are having to teach. Interesting content and some job opportunities are shared with us

On the first day, like many students I was nervous to say the least. The lecturers did a fantastic job at making me and I'm sure others feel welcomed. It wasn't just a show for the first day, they continued to remain approachable and supportive throughout the modules I've had so far. The Campus itself is very easy to navigate and signposted well. There's multiple places close by to grab lunch or a coffee to go and relax and study in the library. There are plenty of quiet study areas if your home or living situation can be distracting like mine. There's plenty of support for people who struggle with building their academic skills which can help a lot of the anxieties that come with submitting your coursework and assignments.

A lot of the course requires independent learning. However if this isn't something you are good at there's opportunities to practice this as workshops are frequently available. If you struggle with building a schedule to dedicate time with studying support is available to help you with time management. During the lectures there is plenty of time to ask the questions you need, and lecturers are always more than happy to talk after the lectures about anything that's particularly pressing you. More often than not emails to lecturers are answers swiftly. So I have no complaints considering they answer them in their own private time.

There's lots of things to do in, and close by to Ipswich Town. If you're someone who enjoys nature and walking there's an abundance of parks (Dog Friendly too); Chantry, Holywells, Landseer, Alexandra, Christchurch, Bourne and many more! There are plenty of good Gyms and the waterfront is beautiful for a nice walk before or after lectures. When it comes to shopping, it is well known that Ipswich is not the place you'd want to get your Christmas haul. There's a lack of clothing stores and many have closed down over the years. It doesn't really cater to the younger generation. The best shop for under 25 was H&M however that seems to be closing this year too. Despite lack of stores, I personally have never struggled to get and keep flexible jobs. So it seems there are plenty of part time opportunities and student friendly jobs. I often finish work quite late, there are certainly streets I wouldn't walk down much like many places anywhere but the streets are well lit and I often see police presence in areas near the clubs in town so it makes you feel a lot safer knowing they're around.
