Really good Student Services support for students, especially during the Cost of Living Crisis Great access to industry-standard facilities and equipment tailored for specific courses (e.g. Full sound-mixing studio and colour-grade studio for Digital Film Production, as well as Arri Alexa LF camera (cinematic camera used in Hollywood productions) Smaller class sizes so easier access to equipment, facilities and better one-to-one sessions/tutorials with lecturers Wide range of study areas, including Waterfront building which is accessible 24/7, which is useful for students who have a lot of work to do or cannot access a PC/laptop at home. One improvement would be clearer guidance and support for dissertation work.

Our course is predominantly taught in person, however there have been some instances of online-learning due to COVID-19. Course hours are long but fulfilling, lots of rewarding access to industry-standard equipment. Class sizes are smaller, but easier access to equipment and facilities. Also easier to get to know classmates and make friends quicker. Not a huge fan of lack of dissertation support, not thoroughly clear on where I am at or how to progress with my dissertation currently. I wish the building that our course predominantly resides in (the Arts building) would be open for longer during the week. This would give students more access to facilities and equipment for longer and would help them with completing their coursework.

I like the room sizes and the communal/kitchen area. Bedrooms with own en-suite toilets and showers are very useful. Good place to live in to make friends particularly when you first start university. General upkeep of the building as a whole isn't great - lots of scuff marks, paint coming off the walls, mold and a whole block of the building which I lived in had severe flooding through all 8 floors of the building. Very, very expensive - especially with the rent going up each year and with the Cost of Living crisis making things more difficult for students that currently reside there.

The university of suffolk has done all it could do in order to provide me with a learning experience where I feel welcomed and heard. The Film production and screen writing faculties are a fantastic example of what it means to be a tutor, they've gone above and beyond to make me comfortable and safe while teaching me industry standard techniques and given me new possibilities in ideologies. The students are delightful, having a chance to meet people from around the world with the shared interest in film while having perspectives I never considered has enhanced my own world view and brought me closer to people in general. UOS has opened my mind and granted me skills I'll never forget.

Every aspect of the course has been explained with intricate detail as to what it's uses in the industry are and how I'll make use of them. Everything taught is relevant into getting into any aspect of the industry and is taught clearly without bias. With equipment and facilities that accurately imitate the industry standard and allow us to familiarize with the work we'll be doing. The professional practice module has opened my eyes to what the film industry has to offer and has dismissed any fears I've had regarding employment
