Nottingham Trent University is great for student life, especially due to the thriving city as well as the wide range of facilities offered to support your studies. Furthermore, there is an immense level of support for those with disabilities, or personal struggles including finance support and academic support. However, my campus is placed within a rural area outside the city, meaning the bus takes at least 45 minutes to reach the city centre, while there is very minimal facilities in the village nearby. I believe that students on the Brackenhurst campus to not get equal opportunities compared to the city campus, so seeing more student union interaction with the campus with improve our student life further

I like how much practical aspect is incorporated into the course, and how this is linked to our theory lectures and seminars. Furthermore, i believe our contact time for each module is appropriate to learn, understand and ask questions for each lecture. There is no online learning, helping to maintain student engagement. However, i think some modules could have extra workshops or lectures towards exam periods or more allocated lecture time to cover content for confidence, as well as having more mock exam opportunities to prepare for exams.

In terms of value for money, and being able to book the specific room you want i think is good. Further, the accommodation feels safe, warm, and easy to study in. I like that weekly cleaning is included within the price, as well as this cleaning being completed to a high standard. The location is perfect; being quiet and calm which creates a great environment for studying. The accommodation is on campus, making getting to lectures very quick and easy. However, the campus is placed far from the city center, making simple errands longer to complete. Any breakages or maintenance issues do take a long time and constant reminds to eventually get fixed, as well as there being some damaged to my room including my bathroom door when i initially moved in.

I think the university have good facilities when it comes to our course, however when it comes to student life there isn't a great deal of things to do on and around campus and it is also around an hours communte into Nottingham City Centre.

There isn't a lot on campus amenities wise, and I stayed in the older blocks. The rooms are nice and spacious, however I think they need refurbishing as little things like the window seals are outdated and crafty.
