The university is a great place to study as they use a block learning approach which helps with understanding as you only have to get to grips with one topic at a time, this then allows you to achieve an in depth understanding of what you are learning about. Another good feature of the university of Suffolk is that it has different building for different blocks so you aren’t always in the same place and it doesn’t get boring. One of the less enjoyable aspects to the university is the time it takes to cross the road to get to another building; although I enjoy having different buildings I don’t really enjoy the 10 minutes it takes to get there waiting for the lights to go red.

I do like having a few days off a week to work from home as that then means I can go through my work at my own pace and read/watch things until I fully understand them. However, I do wish there was a bit more face to face contact with the lecturers especially in first year as it is a bit harder when you get stuck on things at home and have to wait for an email back from the lecturer.

The Uni (especially the student union) are so supportive, I cannot emphasize the amount of support they offer. I had chosen another university first ( for my bsc) however just after one phone call I realise the people here are so friendly which was really important to me as I was moving far away from home. I would say the worst experience is due to accommodation within first year of my bsc however that is nothing to do with the university!

The current rooms I am in are very cramped, not meant for the tables that are in there in the atrium however this is only one room I have noticed. The style of teaching is very good and interactive, however no pressure given if you are shy (which I am) so that is lovely

When I lived in athena hall there were many flats, I had awful flatmates who were not clean and the hot water was limited to a flat, so if someone had a hot shower in the morning and a really long one that was most of the hot water used for the day
