I have settled in really well and I think this has a lot to do with the university and tutors. Prior to starting, the uni were really good at keeping me updated and inviting me to any events. I have really enjoyed my first few months and uni and I have made the right choice of uni.

There is something for everyone on campus - ranging from a variety of places to eat (a vegan restaurant, subway, the hub). Plenty of activities and sports to get involved in.

Excellent range of support from peer support to 121 sessions with tutors. They are always available over email as well.

The students’ union is easily accessible and there are plenty of posters and reminders for key dates to get involved in. The representatives work really hard in ensuring the students voices are heard.

Yes, there are plenty of shops / cafes / bars in the local area, all reachable by regular buses or a short walk. There are lots of student accommodation buildings in a variety of areas to suit needs, in walking distance or by using the free edge hill shuttle bus service.

There are societies in most subjects and students are encouraged to start a new society if they are interested in something particular that isn’t on the current society list. There are many sports clubs that are held regularly to suit needs.

I enjoy interactive sessions. I don’t find having to do presentations useful.

There are plenty of career days where organisations will come and speak to students so they are aware of what they can do to enhance their CV. There are plenty of opportunities to go on work placements and develop skills and these are easily accessible for students to get information on.

Uni campus and facilities are fab and the location is beautiful. Courses need more organisation and communication between student and lecturers.

More contact lessons and better placement prospects. Student nurses need more guidance and education in their placements and in their career prospects. Furthermore, they should be made aware of all the other career prospects including where they could advance to. More tables in the lecture halls.
