Great quality accommodation, only a 5 minute walk to bgu

The student advice and support is outstanding. Easily accessible and helpful when needed. The online portal is easy to use and is full of help and advice for learning support, technical support and individual student support. The campus is easy to navigate with old, beautiful buildings as well as new modern areas. The majority of rooms are spacious and have enough room for big teaching groups. The library is beautiful and fully stocked. The upstairs has a large computer room with multiple small group and individual study booths. These areas were brilliant for group project's and gave a real student feel to study. Some rooms were small and were sometimes allocated for groups too large for the area. These issues were raised by students and the university solved these issues very quickly and found a better space. There are regular surveys for students which are then reviewed by the module leaders and acted upon and often discussed during lectures. This was a brilliant way of ensuring the students were all happy. A negative was the way the university dealt with bank holidays. Due to the nature of the foundation course everyone worked the rest of the week and the expectation was that we attend online lectures on another day which was not very accessible for most and felt unhelpful. Issues were raised during the first year but nothing was changed for the second year.

The assignments were given in advance and clear guidance was received on week one of every module making it easy to navigate and allow the maximum amount of time for work. The majority of classes for taught face to face. The university was very understanding that the students on this course were travelling in from work. On weeks where there wasn't much course content the learning was taken on line to cut out travelling time for many. The lectures always stayed after every session to answer questions and opened up tutorial slots most weeks. Our course time was 1-8 on a Monday allowing for us to work in a professional setting the rest of the week which was highly beneficial for those who wanted to develop professionally but still run a household.
