I do not think I can add anymore than I have already said. this University Center is great and I believe in time, more and more people will experience the same I have over the last 2 years. the UC is still growing and i wish them all the luck in the world to carry on making it an establishment of excellent learning and continue to grow their courses they offer.

I started this course thinking that I would only do enough to pass the course. Once the teaching staff got to work, they have done everything in their power to bring out the best in me and all my peers. Being a mature student I thought it was too late for me to make something of myself. being taught by a mix of staff, with their own specialties has seen my knowledge and my work place experience go from strength to strength. Teaching staff at North Lindsey College University Center are great at working at your weaknesses, by using your strengths, pairing you with the complete opposite peer with polar personality and experience ensuring we bring the best out of each other. This year my year attended a number of exhibitions in London as part of the student bursary programme. The bursary paid for everything that i needed, including hotel and travel. Without this bursary I would have missed out on these exhibitions and lost so much knowlegde which was gained during the two days.

Most importantly the course is taught at University level. Knowing the course was to be held at a University Center first put doubts in my mind. As soon as the course started it was clear it was a real degree being taught by real professionals. These professionals are their with their office doors wide open if you are struggling or if you just need some guidance Also being a dyslexic student at a mature age, has seen me doubt myself many times. without the support of Dan, David and Jess, I would have left after my first blip at week 3. With this all in mind I am struggling to find a negative about my course.

NLC University Center is very well facilitated for all my needs. It is send in a quite part of town only 20 minutes from home. Plenty of green space to escape to and just a many busy plays to stimulate me. The science labs are well luck after, with every possible piece of equipment i need to get me my FdSc. If i ask for my resources, every effort is made to make it happen. The is plenty of places to eat and drink at a good price and with a very friendly atmosphere. HE library staff are very helpful when looking for books or other online resources. They can even help with just being their for a chat, totally separate from their day to day duties. they just want to help and not see anyone upset or struggling.

Regarding personal support, the UC offers many workshops to help with difficulties at home and in personal situations. i Have not used these service but peers who have have said that they are great and they have helped them get through some very dark times. Academically, I can not fault the UC for their support. Previously mentioned in this review, I am a dyslexic mature student in an environment that is alien to me. the support the UC has given me has be fantastic. Without it i wouldn't be a few months away from gaining my FdSc in Biochemistry. I owe a lot to the University Center at North Lindsey College, Scunthorpe!
