University of South Wales, particularly the Newport Campus, is fantastic. I'm in my 3rd and final year, so have had plenty of time to reflect. The lecturers of my course have been nothing but supportive and professional. They don't see it as just a job, they truly want us to succeed and see us as individuals. As someone who regularly and purposely melted into the background, often unseen as it was easier, my experience at USW has been groundbreaking for my self-confidence. The lecturers did not let me melt into the background, instead valuing my voice and opinion and promoting me to share them, It is unfortunate that the Newport campus has no parking, this becomes quite costly having to pay for the maximum amount of time in the car park each time I visit uni. Newport campus also does not have any cafeteria and does not provide food, unless you count the very expensive starbucks located downstairs. It's mainly the buildings amenities I can offer feedback on room for improvement, whereas my overall experience of the education has been phenomenal.

Plenty of support for required placement work we have to do and plenty of options in and around Newport. The lecturers stepped in when needed with advice and advocated for us to value ourselves and our boundaries within placement as well.

My university experience has been good , I have been supported with my studies and mental health support. Made friend both with students and non teaching staff. It is easily accessible and the library are very helpful plus IT services for someone who struggles with IT it has been good having support with my assignment projects.

Both online and in person and they teaching have been very helpful I have acquired a lot of skills in the process. And the hours are fixed but manageable.

It’s safe all around and there is 24 hour security and reception support. If there is any problems with flat share they have facilitate a resolve. And any utilities that need fixing are always fixed. There is a games room and laundry room which are handy and convenient.
