Women are in ill health 25% more often than men, from conditions specific to them or those that affect them differently or disproportionately. Addressing disparities in healthcare science, data and care of women, focusing on targeted tests and treatments, is critical towards achieving the health and wellbeing of women and their families.IntroductionThis PhD in Women’s Health focuses on a broad range of topics, including reproductive health, maternal health, chronic diseases, and mental health issues specific to women. The programme is designed to support independent research, with expert supervision, and provide access to clinical and community settings. You’ll receive comprehensive training in research methodologies, statistical analysis, and ethical considerations relevant to women’s health. Additional support includes workshops in scientific writing, grant applications, and career development. Collaborative projects with healthcare providers, non-governmental organisations, and public health organisations enhance the relevance of research.
