Student support and student Union are amazing, they cannot do enough for their students and help them every step of the way. A few buildings are in need of maintenance repairs like the female toilets in the James Heir building as all the soap dispensers are broken but other than that is a great University to attend!

I love the university, it’s nothing like other unis I hear from from friends and family. It’s personal, it’s not overcrowded, and its perfect for students who live at the uni, and for students like me who commute. The structure of the lectures etc are perfect to be able to commute the distance I do and still be able to be involved. My only bad experience- is the chairs in the classrooms, they can be rather uncomfortable or not big enough to fit my laptop (standard sized one) on to the fold up desk space on top.

Its a small uni so you can easily get the support you need. More students would mean better student life I think and a wider variety of opportunities but it's such a good uni.

I like the location of the university because it’s close to where I live so it’s easy to commute to either by bus or walking. It is near the waterfront so is a very pretty place to study; it is also close to town (around a 10-15 minute walk) so anything you need isn’t hard to get to! I like the facilities at the university for example the labs and lecture rooms - as well as classes aren’t incredibly massive so it’s good for anyone that prefers a more personal approach to learning and doesn’t want lecture theatres full of people. You feel as if you can speak to your lecturers on a more personal level. The university also has great learning spaces and multiple areas where you can study; for example there are places where you can sit and do work in quiet at the library or at the student run coffee shop. The university also contains many social spaces like their own cafe with live music and events, as well as a restaurant. Alongside this, the approach to learning is block learning so you can focus on one topic rather than juggling multiple at once and this is an excellent way to learn effectively. I enjoy the online learning space used because it is easy to navigate and means everything you need to know is contained in one place. One thing that I think could be done to improve is more support on how students that don’t live on campus can be more involved in student life. Or, more one to one sessions with lecturers when available.

The range of lecture rooms, labs, study areas and common spaces make this uni a great place to study. The buildings within the campus are comfortable and great places to be productive. Plenty of support is provided to students whether it is educational, disability or financial, there are people and systems in place to ensure everyone gets equal opportunities.
