At ONCAMPUS Reading you will prepare for degree study with the opportunity for guaranteed progression to a range of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading including degrees at Henley Business School.

Who is this programme designed for?

This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. If you successfully complete the UFP to the required level of attainment in all academic areas and achieve the required English language score, you will have the opportunity to automatically progress onto a place on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at the University of Reading. The UFP is set at NQF level 3, which is equivalent to A level standard in the UK.

How long will I study for?

This programme lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, you will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if you need additional support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.

Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours.

What will I study?

There are five academic pathways to choose from and you will study the pathway most suited to your chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare you for university study.
