This qualification is designed for individuals who have achieved in a vocational or subject specialism and then wish to train as a teacher. Following completion of this course, the Learning and Skills Teacher will possess the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver effective vocational education and training that meets the needs of students and employers.
The Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher is suitable for teachers, trainers and tutors working in further education, adult and community learning or work-based training within public, private or community organisations.
The course meets the needs of a range of trainee teachers, covering:
Course work, professional discussion, Presentations, at least eight hours of teaching and learning observations- please note this is not an exhaustive list
Exams in English and mathematics if you do not already hold the required level (grade C/4 and above is required)
End-Point- Assessment
Progression to a level 6 programme of study. Employment as a teacher, trainer.
