The MEd Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is an ideal programme for those who want to teach the English language either internationally or here in the UK. The MEd TESOL suite of modules: cover hands-on classroom strategies and activities, including actual teaching practice develop your understanding of the fundamental elements of the English language and how to teach them explore the broader social and cultural roles of English in global society provide a thorough understanding of research skills for language education allow you to complete a research project under expert supervision The MEd TESOL equips you with the practical teaching skills and theoretical knowledge needed to become a confident TESOL professional, improve your global citizenship skills and instill you with an increased awareness of issues related to English language, learning and teaching.
Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree and either be a practising teacher of TESOL or intend to enter the profession. Exceptions may be made for those who can demonstrate significant relevant experience combined with recent academic study.
