Engineering students spend a lot of time in specialist laboratories and facilities. In the last few years, we've invested millions in our buildings, teaching and research facilities and industry-testing equipment - with more on the way.
As a Salford engineering student, you'll experience specialist spaces that are home to industry-standard software and equipment. From our heavy loads laboratory to our mechanical and aerodynamics laboratories, our labs are home to everything from wind tunnels and tensile test machines, to high-tech laser cutters, 3D printers and waterjet cutters in our Morson Maker Space and Engine Room.
Salford's strong industry links will help to prepare you for your future career in engineering. Alongside teaching from our expert academic staff, engineering students will benefit from site visits, industry briefs and visiting guest lectures.
With many of our engineering courses designed to meet the requirements of the Engineering Councils Accreditation of Higher Education Programmes (AHEP), your studies can be a pathway towards achieving Incorporated Engineer status, or set the foundations for Chartered Engineer training once you graduate.
