Our science courses
With a wide-range of degree courses in science-based subjects, we also offer a range of study pathways to suit your learning, giving you the option to study a foundation year, include an industry place year, take your studies further with an integrated Master’s or even spend a year studying in the USA as part of your degree.
Our advanced Bodmer Laboratories ensure that our science students benefit from using the latest technologies, and that learning and course content remains at the cutting-edge of research innovation and discovery. The university is home to industry standard instrumentation, and access to this technology means that upon graduation, our students are fully prepared and equipped to enter the workplace.
Our Joule Physics Laboratories include a purpose-built teaching suite, student study area plus specialist areas for electronics, optics, lasers, computing, and composite materials.
During your studies, you will directly benefit from research-active staff, many of whom are focusing on emerging areas of research in new materials, analysing scenarios, working towards a green world, and helping to cure global diseases.
These close connections to the research community can provide you with unique opportunities for placements and research projects that are not available to students at other universities.
During your studies, you might find yourself working with industry partners, or students and staff from other scientific disciplines, helping you to become a more flexible and well-rounded professional.
