Study Creative Arts and Social Sciences

The recently established School of Arts and Creative Industries seeks to nurture and support the creative development of our students and equip them with the skills needed to succeed in their chosen careers within the Creative Industries sector and beyond.

The School of Applied Social Sciences has courses ranging from degrees and/or diplomas in Criminology, Social Sciences, Criminology and Sociology, Health and Social Care to Social Work, Child and Adolescent Studies and Policing. Our courses are built upon an accessible curriculum in which students can see themselves reflected.

Financial support

• Bursary - for all undergraduates with an entry qualification score of fewer than 112 UCAS tariff points, or equivalent, the bursary is worth £1,500 over 3 academic years.
• Scholarship - for undergraduates with an entry qualification score of 112 UCAS tariff points or more, or equivalent, the scholarship is worth £2,400 over 3 academic years.

Foundation Year Bursary – worth £2,000 for those studying an integrated four-year course.

• Placements for all - from volunteering, internships and placements, through to a fee-free year in industry, we offer a range of professional placements to enhance your skills.
• Employability units - can be studied alongside your degree. From networking, freelancing, public speaking and many more; we’ve launched a range of exciting credit-bearing units to enhance your knowledge, skills and career prospects.
