Studying for your postgrad at LJMU means benefiting from professionally relevant and up-to-date teaching that will have a real impact on your career. Working at the vanguard of developments in the education, sport and health sectors, our lecturers and professional tutors are actively involved in research, consultancy, knowledge transfer and policy influencing.

Add this to our extensive networks with schools and other education providers, as well NHS Trusts, local authorities, NGOs and other key bodies across the North West, UK and internationally, you know you’re in the right place to get the most from your masters or research degree.

The Faculty is organised into four key areas:

CPD

In addition to our full Masters programmes and research opportunities, we also offer both accredited and non-accredited CPD courses. Many of these are available as part of framework awards for higher qualifications. This means you can start by completing to one or two designated CPD modules, and then use the credits towards a full Masters.

Location

Liverpool is in the North West of England, and can be reached from London in 2 hours by train. It also has excellent motorway links to the rest of the region and beyond, making our campuses convenient to get to.

The Schools of Education and Sport Studies, Leisure and Nutrition are currently based at our IM Marsh campus in Aigburth (with plans to move to new city-centre facilities in 2020).

The internationally respected Public Health Institute and School of Nursing and Allied Health based in Liverpool city centre.

Whichever campus you’re based at, you’ll have access to onsite Libraries, IT Zones and dedicated postgraduate study areas, plus cafes and social spaces.
