This MA in Strategic Advertising and Marketing Communications enables graduates and professionally qualified managers to expand their knowledge of marketing communications. Students interested in a career in public relations also have the option to gain a public relations endorsement of their degree title. The course will develop your understanding of communications planning, consumer decision-making, and traditional and new media. You'll study advertising and promotional strategies, marketing, branding, how to manage direct and digital marketing relationships, and ways to get inside the customer's mind. This degree prepares you to meet the challenges of a changing marketplace, so you emerge ready to enter a range of marketing and communication and public relations roles.
Graduates of this degree are currently working as communications consultants and and managers for communications agencies and companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Co-op Group, MobiSystems Inc, NBC Universal Media, as well as various private companies, non-profits and government organisations around the world.
You should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute and some marketing experience. Alternatively, you should have marketing management experience and a professional qualification equal to the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Diploma in Professional Marketing.
