One area that could be improved is the accommodation allocation process. While accommodation itself is affordable and well maintained, the current system means students are assigned flatmates without any opportunity to get to know them beforehand. This can be challenging, as living compatibility plays a huge role in a student’s overall wellbeing and university experience. A system that allows students to connect with their flatmates before moving in, possibly through the student portal or Blackboard, would be very beneficial. This would give students the chance to get to know who they will be living with, understand different lifestyles, and feel more prepared before arriving or returning after summer. While some students use social media platforms to find flatmates, not everyone has access to or feels comfortable using these platforms. Having more options for quieter accommodation or expanding access to quieter halls could also help students who prefer a calmer living environment. Many students struggle when placed in very loud or highly social flats, which can be draining and negatively impact their studies and mental wellbeing. Academically, support from lecturers is strong and learning materials are generally well structured. However, additional tools such as short post-lecture quizzes or explanations could further support students with different learning needs, particularly those who may struggle with compact lecture slides. Overall, the university provides good accommodation and academic support, but small changes could greatly improve student comfort and inclusivity. Overall, the university offers a very positive and supportive student experience. Accommodation is affordable and well maintained, academic support is strong, and there is clear access to wellbeing and inclusion services. The campus itself is unique, calm, and noticeably quieter than many universities, which creates a more focused and comfortable environment for studying. The location is another major strength. Transport links are excellent, with reliable buses, nearby train connections into the city, and easy access to surrounding areas. This makes commuting straightforward and gives students flexibility without needing to live in busy or expensive city centres. The campus environment is also genuinely enjoyable. It is a beautiful space with green areas, wildlife, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes university feel less overwhelming. These small details contribute positively to daily student life and wellbeing. the university is an excellent place to study, offering strong academic support, good accommodation, and a calm, well-connected campus. With a few small adjustments aimed at social comfort and inclusivity, the student experience could be even stronger.

I have noticed that the students union and times looks empty especially during peak hours. it looks fantastic inside and so I don't understand why lots of people do not attend it. Maybe more frequent and mass appealing events could draw more attention and popularity. Or potentially opening it up to hold different society events. The campus itself is beautiful, in summer it looks even better but the water features and available green spaces and modern but sophisticated look make it pleasant. My own experience of the facilities has been great, working in the sports science labs has been amazing and there are still more facilities that I am looking forward to exploring. on the accommodation side I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation space for both my 1st and 2nd year. The communal space in the halls is very luxury and an added bonus is that the get cleaned so regularly.

The best aspect of edge hill uni is how modern the campus is. Some interior of some buildings such as main building and the Wilson centre could be abit more modern. Besides the point, all the buildings have amazing facilities for my course but also when I want something eat, if I need to catch up on work I can go into the catalyst and the accommodation is kept clean all week by the amazing cleaners. The car park is abit of an issue as it gets full really quick so if you have a lecture later on in the day you’ll get sent to the overflow which could take another ten minutes for you to walk to your lecture

The campus is brilliant, my favorite building is the catalyst library Centre which is very modern and makes writing essays comfortable.

Main issue is the car park , why can staff park on the student car park yet we can’t park on the staff Last year I use to get to uni at like 7:30 and would be parked next to staff meaning they haven’t even tried to park on the staff car park they purposely parked on the student one as their building is probably closer Overall really enjoy uni Just annoying some of the facilities don’t work, for our physiology exam we couldn’t even complete it realistically as not all of the equipment works we had to just take our way through it which can be confusing as your more likely to miss a step when you cannot demonstrate the task
