This course is developing the Sports Performance scientists of the future by equipping graduates with skills and competencies needed to operate in the complex and demanding elite sport environment, empowering them with confidence to generate new ideas and techniques in sporting contexts and beyond.This course is designed to offer extensive practical experience in real-world and research settings, promoting reflection and critical thinking. Whilst technologies are central to our curriculum, they do not appear standalone, but they are underpinned by the fundamental principles of biomechanics, nutrition, physiology and psychology. You will master all contemporary data collection techniques and become proficient in data visualisation and analytics. You’ll be taught by world-leading experts in their fields and benefit from our links with national and international sports teams, governing bodies, data analytics and sports technology companies.Internationally, we have been working in world-class settings related to athletics and football and we have developed partnerships with motion analysis and data analytics software companies.
