In this course you’ll push yourself to become the sports leader you aspire to be through exploring the strategic side of management. Whether you have already studied or are working in the sports and fitness sector, or you are looking to progress your leadership and management skills in this area, our MSc Sports Business Management degree offers you the knowledge and skills that will help you to succeed in a career in this field. Explore practical people management skills as well as the theoretical side of management. Develop decision-making skills on both an operational and personal level as you conduct your own piece of research on a topic of your choosing within the sports and business sector. This gives you the opportunity to go beyond traditional management theories as you develop your own perspective. You will progress your understanding of the ethics of sports business management, including the impact of legal and economic issues. Through studying the latest research and practice in the field, you will be supported to graduate with expert knowledge in the marketing, financial and analytical aspects of business. The skills you learn will be transferable to a multitude of career opportunities. The course utilises a variety of summative assessment methods, such as academic critical essays, simulations, case studies, reports, group presentations, exams and portfolios.
Typical offer is a degree equivalent to a UK lower second class (2:2) honours degree in any discipline. Overseas qualifications will be assessed using ECCTIS (formerly NARIC) to ascertain comparability.
