The BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation is a vocational, hands on course that offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and expertise in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating sports and physical activity-related injuries. Graduate Sport Rehabilitators are trained in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries expertise that is essential across all sports, and all levels from amateur to elite.

Career prospectsUpon completion of this course you will be eligible to become a registered member of BASRaT (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers). Sports rehabilitators work in areas such as professional sport, primary musculoskeletal care, military and corporate environments. Successful completion of the undergraduate programme opens up the world of further postgraduate study such as Strength and Conditioning, Sport Sciences or research in the form of MRes/PhD study.

What you will learn on the courseStudents on the course will get hands-on practical experience, learning from the expert staff who teach on the course. The course includes extensive practical and laboratory-based work to help develop your understanding of human anatomy, the biomechanics and physiology of the human body, and the pathology of injury and dysfunction.
How the course is taughtThe course utilises a range of contemporary approaches to assessing learning, whilst also seeking to develop key practitioner skills, specialist expertise, and interdisciplinary approaches. Delivery modes include: seminars, workshops, practice sessions, manual therapy and practice labs, placement opportunities peer and expert observations, online learning and laboratory sessions.Students on the course are required to complete a number of practical placement hours offering the opportunity to learn and develop in some fantastic applied practice environments. You main gain experience in our on-site clinical and sport performance centres.
