The BA (Hons) Sport Business Management aims to develop your capabilities in technical, supervisory and managerial aspects of sports business. You'll be able to experience the world of sports management in an engaging and real-life way. This course focuses on how to develop business and professional attributes through effective communication using a variety of tools. You’ll learn how to demonstrate strong consumer understanding and have a mindset that takes measured risks, that perceives and creates opportunities, and the resourcefulness to pursue opportunities in an ethical and sustainable way.The BA (Hons) Sport Business Management balances academic rigour with industry readiness, skills, knowledge and experience. You'll develop a range of relevant skills and knowledge alongside personal development goals. By linking the course directly to industry advice and expertise, we will help you to become 'industry ready' from the very beginning of your study. We have strong employer links, as well as links with professional and trade associations which has enabled us to provide an outstanding student experience. As a student on our BA (Hons) Sport Business Management course, you will develop an understanding of the business of sport. This will be from both a global perspective as well an examination of the sports industry in the UK. Key business concepts and theories will be embedded into the course to review sports business and best practices in sports management.Employment opportunities have been identified across the sector as positions like expert operatives, supervisors, junior managers, creative 'Intrapreneurs' and start-up business entrepreneurs through the sports industry. IoHT is connected to a number of trade and professional associations whose membership comprises employers and operatives from across the sectors, this includes SportPro and Global Sports Education.
