To truly understand how sport and exercise affects the body, it’s vital to take an approach rooted in medical insight. On this ground-breaking degree, you’ll investigate how movement prevents disease, nutrition influences health and physical inactivity changes our body. There are few places in the world better placed to develop your learning than the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at King’s. Not only do we have connections to London’s many centres of sporting excellence, our course benefits from the research and teaching at one of the world’s great medical schools. Medical expertise meets your traditional sport science programme. We’ve created a course that combines the science of human performance and physical activity with an understanding of disease. You’ll explore a diverse range of areas connected to the world of exercise and sport including physiology, psychology and biomechanics. You’ll be able to use the very latest equipment at King’s. Every module includes work in our labs - you might be testing how the body responds to extreme conditions in our environmental chamber or analysing movement in our biomechanics and motor control laboratory.
