Special Educational Needs and Inclusion (SEN) Studies is a course designed to empower. It will help you develop the skills to nurture the lives and futures of children and young adults, passing on that empowerment to them to take forward in their lives.Our tutors are all personally invested in SEN and inclusion practice, enabling them to bring practical experience to your studies with passion, open mindedness, and a caring attitude. Through our course, we hope to help you find your voice so you can help others find theirs.There is a great demand for skilled and capable professionals to support children and young adults with special educational needs, and their families.We'll help you develop as a sensitive, confident and knowledgeable practitioner, so that you are fully prepared to help those in need of support.You'll gain a rounded experience by exploring areas such as teaching, social work and health, and gaining the vital skills and understanding you need to enter a multidisciplinary workforce.As well as gaining a solid academic and theoretical grounding in the subject, you'll have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally during an optional practice placement and participate in employment-based activities. To further cement your understanding of special educational needs and inclusion, you'll study theories of management and leadership. This will include learning about professionalism and partnership working, which are essential to effective working practices.
