Best: -level of teaching is great, lecturers are nice -the degree i'm taking challenges me -loads of places to study -great access via underground or buses from city centre and uni -both unions are superb, with the QMU having better events while GUU has better food and building -local spots to eat and drink -moodle and UofG life services are really helpful -companies on campus and career fairs Worst -st Andrews building being away from main campus - newer buildings aren't very good looking and have little good places to study. Stools with no back support are terrible and the majority in all the new buildings -bus going into the city centre is always late without fail -library is hard to navigate, mabey have a leaflet/webpage on how to understand the shelf layouts/find books more effectivly

Academically, the University of Glasgow is solid, with excellent faculty and diverse course offerings. The campus itself is lovely, and there’s a strong sense of community among students. However, administrative processes such as enrollment and grading can be cumbersome and confusing at times. More transparency and streamlined processes would greatly improve the student experience. Despite these challenges, the overall academic experience has been positive, and I’ve gained valuable skills for my future career.

I think that the university its fine. I like the campus! But the students life is more complicated when you are a international student. So it’s important to have supports with your mental health. I think there should be more information about how to take therapy.

Pretty uni, good student life, near parks, vibrant city, flexibility in courses. Sometimes campus can be overcrowded, not necessarily good outreach to students from staff in lower years. This improves as you progress through your degree

It is in a nice area of Glasgow; and I love the Glasgow University Union. It is easy to get very involved in, and offers a nice alternative to constant studying. With cheap drinks, a very good debates team, opportunities to get involved and study spaces as well as weekly events, it is the highlight of my university experience. However the lecture quality could often be improved. For the first two years, online lectures were recycled (in 2023 we were still being given lectures from 2020 as our only teaching material) and now we're in person the quality is often diminished. This is not true of all lecturers, I have had some genuinely great ones. However I do think in this case the disconnected, meandering and often inaccurate lecturers outwise those who are good.
