The course meets the requirements of the SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at Level 10.We’ll develop your social care knowledge and management skills, so you’re equipped manage a team who are meeting the complex needs of people in diverse and often vulnerable situations. You'll:Develop an in-depth knowledge of social care provision and policy in Scotland.Gain professional leadership and management skills.Apply your learning in real world situations through work placements.Teaching is mostly online, with one day per fortnight on campus. This means if you’re already working in the sector you can upskill and work at the same time. You’ll learn from real life experiences via guest lecturers and case studies coming from social workers, charge nurses, voluntary sector service managers and more.Getting out into the workplace is an essential part of this practical degree. The second year weekly work placements will give you the confidence to thrive when faced with professional challenges.
