Alongside attending College regularly for classes, you will work closely with a number of Spa companies and major Spa employers in the UK and also complete a formal work placement. You will experience innovative presentations and workshops from leading product companies and training in a variety of commercial spa treatments and techniques that employers expect.During the course, you will:• Examine the range of activities that make up the spa industry and gain practical experience and the essential business skills you need to manage a Spa or start your own business• Develop your management skills and learn how to apply Financial, Marketing and Human Resource Management theory to the Spa environment• Take a high-level view of the international Spa industry, examining the strategic issues affecting development of the Spa concept in the UK and around the world• Work on your own research project, which creates an opportunity to critically analyse a particular area or field of Spa management that interests youWorking with local employers will give you practice, confidence and expertise in developing communications and management skills, complex booking, retail and stock management, Marketing, HR and financial aspects of running a successful Spa.
