During your studies, you’ll:

• cover theoretical aspects needed to solve problems in the field of robotics and mechatronics
• develop hands-on experience in laboratories on industrial-grade equipment such as a mechatronics platform, mobile robots, industrial robotic manipulators and 3D printers
• gain autonomy, and apply the knowledge you’ve gained through individual and interdisciplinary group projects
• have the chance to apply for a placement to get work experience in industry, while still being supported at Sussex.

Accreditation

• Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.

To help you gain experience and increase your employability, you can apply for an optional placement as part of your course. This can be a fantastic opportunity to gain real-life insight into industry as well as skills valued by employers. You’ll be responsible for applying for and securing your placement.
