- Build your professional knowledge of oncology, anatomy and physiology. - Learn how to deliver highly technical and accurate radiotherapy treatments. - Develop your communication, research and health promotion skills. - Learn essential practical skills, including radiation safety and patient care. - Understand the impact of environmental factors on cancer patients. Study and practise the key principles of radiotherapy, oncology, physics and technology – guided by national and local legislation and policies. You’ll provide inclusive person-centred care throughout the course, ensuring you can effectively support people living with and beyond cancer. When you graduate you’ll be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a therapeutic radiographer.
