ALIGNED WITH INDUSTRY

The Higher Education Development Programme has been developed to enhance your learning and provide additional qualifications to support with your employment. This can include self defence classes, Level 2 CCTV Operations qualification, Level 3 Close Protection course, DBS support, First Aid qualification and professional volunteering.Volunteering with professional organisations is actively encouraged. Notable organisations may include British Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance and Army Reserves.


INDUSTRY RELEVANT

As a HE student you may be eligible for additional qualifications which could include one or more of the following:
• Level 2 CCTV Operations
• Level 2 Bushcraft, Survival and Wilderness Living Skills
• Level 3 Close Protection in Private Security Industry
• Internal Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and First Aid qualification.


EXPERIENCE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

• Duke of Edinburgh award and associated expeditions form part of course content you may take part in mountain biking, climbing and abseiling at home or abroad.
• Self-defence classes aimed at educating students on how to protect themselves and others using safe techniques. These sessions provide a unique opportunity to learn from an expert in the field.
• Students have previously benefited from overseas trips as part of their course.
